We are seeking a full time Video Editor to work with the Partner/VP of Advertising and the Senior Principal/Digital Director to create video content and deliver edited videos quickly for use in online advertising platforms and social media channels. This position is a fixed-term position, with a planned end date of November 16, 2018.
Partner/VP of Advertising
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Create and edit short-form video for use on social media and online advertising platforms.
Recommend video concepts for candidate campaigns
Create interesting, informative, and compelling online video concepts.
Responsible for identifying sources for images, b-roll, music, and voice overs as needed.
Work closely with shooters as needed.
Provide cross-functional support of communications and design needs.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:
At least 2 years of relevant experience creative video.
Ability to quickly turnaround video and meet tight deadlines.
Strong experience with Adobe Premier Pro or other non-linear editing software.
Experience with animation /or video graphics.
Attention to technical and editorial detail.
Ability to stay focused on a particular task, independent of others.
A strong understanding of organizational goals and political decision-making.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with long and irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, when necessary.
Ability to work within a team environment and independently
Ability to shoot on an as-needed basis.
Knowledge of full Adobe CS suite.
Background in progressive political or issue campaigns.

$15,000 - $20,000 depending on experience for a 3-month position from August 15 2018 - November 15 2018, with potential for additional bonus compensation dependent on job performance.
